Q: For thirty years Parlux has been synonymous with quality and reliability in the production of professional hair dryers for salon owners. How have you build up this reputation of excellence? What did you concentrate on from the very start?

A: Ever since Parlux was founded in 1978, Parlux has had as its main objective the studying and development of the real technical demands of hairdressers. So that Parlux can produce electronic appliances that guarantee reliability, quality and duration.

Over the years, research and development on new technologies applied to this sector has allowed us to produce different models of hairdryers that, due to their innovative characteristics for example design, material, lightness and reliability of the product which far exceeded the current standards compared to the other products on the market. Parlux quality and performance was immediately appreciated by both Italian hairdressers and salon professionals worldwide.

We can proudly say that for these reasons, some of these models such us the Parlux 2800, the Parlux 3000 and the Super Compact 3200 rapidly became best sellers not only in Italy but also in many other countries in the world.

Q: How important is research for a company like Parlux?

A: As mentioned just now, it is more important then ever to pay attention on the quality of products that Parlux produces for the benefit of the hairdresser.
The Parlux research centre and our technical laboratory have been created to precisely to develop new technologies to be applied to professional hairdryers, developed exclusively for the professional hairdresser who has to use them all day, every day in the salon. For example, our hairdryers, which are tested day by day, week by week, for many hours on mechanical robots. These simulates the human arm movement, as far as the ergonomic aspect is concerned, Parlux hairdryers have a special balancing action that allows the hairdressers to hold the hairdryer all day long without being excessively tired. All Parlux hairdryers are also extremely light ( thanks to the development of ultralight weight and silent motors) and are well known for their extremely long life (Parlux guarantee no less 2000 hours of work!)

Q: Is the concept of “ Made in Italy” as important as ever?

A: There is no doubts that Italian production is very important in this sector. Q: Can you tell us something about your Parlux international distributors? Are you
satisfied or do you have still objectives to reach?

A: Our Parlux brand is known and distributed in 65 countries all over the world! This is through local distributors who mostly know their salon customer personally. They have been our invaluable partners and they help us to better understand the professional requirements of the stylist in the different countries through direct feedback from professionals.

Question: Do you have any new products? What features are innovative?

A: Parlux have developed brand new hairdryer innovations which are extremely compact, light weight and very powerful. They combine the use of ceramic coated components with negative ion generators.
